A little about us .......

I believe that yoga is one of the greatest tools for supporting physical, mental and emotional wellness. Yoga is not about trying to wrap your leg around your head. It is about learning tools to deal with stress.  It is about growing stronger physically. And it is about keeping your body moving and flexible. I love so much about yoga as I feel it is the whole package and I hope in my classes to inspire that same love for yoga in others. My official motto in class is "Be Yourself So Fully That Everyone Else Feels Safe To Be Themselves Too".  I hope to create a sense of welcome and community in my classes where we can share a few laughs and continue to grow and learn together.

I am continually training and learning about functional movement and mobility from all modalities, along with yoga's particular benefits for the nervous system and mental health. In my classes I try to channel this learning into innovative sequences where we explore functional movement for our individual bodies and find fresh perspectives for our lives off of our mats.

When I'm not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my hubby, son and two pups. You may find us out in the garden, watching the birds or enjoying anything that involves the outdoors.

Since I was a small child I have loved to move my body. My mother put me into gymnastics at a young age as I spent more time upside down and in contorted positions. I also fell in love with cheerleading and won ‘Miss Enthusiasm’ on more than one occasion.

As an adult, I’ve dreamed about being a Fitness Instructor and Yoga Instructor for a very long time. I’ve been doing yoga for 18 years and working out in a variety of modalities for 30 years (more regimented within the last 12 years). During the downtime of Covid, I became a Certified Fitness Instructor and completed my 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification. I’m also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

I believe that it’s important to find the movement that feels right for your body and personality. That it’s less about the calories you burn or whether you can twist like a pretzel and more about enjoying the movement, loving the body you are in and being healthy in body, mind and spirit. This is what I want to bring to my yoga and fitness classes. I do want to help you reach your physical goals but more important, I want you to have fun, enjoy the feeling of moving your body and connect with your authentic self.

I look forward to sharing my love for movement with you and inspiring each other

I am passionate about movement and helping people feel better in their bodies.

My love for movement as a form of therapy began during my first yoga class in 2006. Since then I’ve been dedicated to growing my knowledge and pursuing different modalities to create group classes and private sessions that target the whole being.

I have a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and bring in my background - Yoga, Pilates and Manual (massage) Therapy - to create care strategies that are specific to you!

I completed my Massage Therapy Diploma with the College of Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy in Cambridge, Ontario with the intention of bringing better and more encompassed care to my clients. I am committed to always being a student and listening to the needs of my clients.

I am excited to begin Medical Acupuncture with McMaster University in Hamilton.

When I am not working, you can find me with my daughter, two twin boys, our dog and my husband, or learning how to craft body care products.
